Commissions

Commissions

Spadge is happy to take on commissions. These are normally from a selection of suitable photographs provided by both or one of the parties. He will then produce a no-obligation design if he can. ( A recent squirrel proved elusive!). If the design is acceptable, the size, price and delivery schedule is agreed.

If the design is to be an exclusive one-off there will be a small premium included in the price that can be lost if Spadge thinks he will be able to produce up to nine more to add to his range of offerings.

Many of Spadge’s pieces are unique. Several of his copper sculptures have been hand made in a limited batch of 5. The process of laser cutting which is all done by Spadge himself except for the actual machine work, lends itself to mass-production. However, all Spadge’s designs are limited to a run of 10, no matter what size. They are now marked as ev (edition Variee) */10 as well as being signed.

Maquette of a shop sign for a camera shop in The Great Yarmouth Heritage Action Zone

YMCA East - 2022

Working with young people from YMCA East as part of a project funded by Norfolk County Council, Spadge and the team produced this maquette of a shop sign for a camera shop in The Great Yarmouth Heritage Action Zone.

This Morgan was commissioned by it’s proud owner, a previous customer who wanted his own Morgan +8 portrayed.

This Saab was a one-off commissioned by the owner’s wife and he was delighted.

Spadge was recently asked to contribute the price of a cup of coffee to the cost of replacing the popular St Michael’s Rooms community facility in Framlingham. As it was used in BBC’S Detectorists t.v. Show he obliged a little further by donating a Copper Sutton Hoo helmet sculpture as an image of it was the badge of the club and then went on to make a metal tool sculpture, a steel cut sculpture and an Intaglio print of the two main characters. The items are listed online with Clarke and Simpson and the auction finishes on 3rd April 2022.
